Conditions & Diseases: Brain & Nervous SystemParkinson's DiseaseSee Also: Medical Tests & Diagnosis Methods/Tools There are no specific lab tests or blood tests to diagnose Parkinsons disease. A thorough neurological examination and medical history are performed by a neurologist to make a presumptive diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. Imaging tests such as MRI or CT scans are done only to rule out other diseases with similar primary symptoms of PD.
