Prostate Cancer Signs and Symptoms

When prostate cancer is in the early stages, there are no noticeable symptoms. However, there are men that can experience symptoms that might indicate the presence of prostate cancer. These symptoms are:

  • Urinary problems like the need to urinate frequently - more during the night, difficulties starting or stopping the urination, weak flow of urine, pain or burning sensations during urination, unable to urinate, urine flow that starts and stops, sensation that the bladder is not empty after urinating.

  • Sexual problems such as difficulties in having an erection and painful ejaculation.

  • Blood in the urine or semen

  • Pain in the lower back, hips and upper thighs

  • Loss of appetite and weight
